Is there a difference between CBD oil and hemp oil?

Yes, although the terms are often used interchangeably, there actually is a difference. Hemp oil has little to no CBD content. Hemp Oil is made by cold-pressing the hemp seeds into an omega-rich culinary (cooking) oil. CBD oil is made by extracting the compound CBD from the leaves, flowers and stalks of the hemp plant.

Is CBD Oil Legal in the United States?

CBD oil, and products which contain it, are legal in most states in the U.S. however it is still illegal in Idaho and Nebraska, and the current legal status is unclear in South Dakota. Even in some the states where it is currently legal there is still much legislative discussion and may be adjustments in the near future. You should always check reliable sources for the current legal status in your state before purchasing CBD products.

How much CBD do I take?

There is no quick answer to this questions. CBD works differently for each person. Just as 1 ibuprofen may cause my headache to go away, it may take 4 for yours.

Things to consider when starting a CBD regimen include:

  • why you are taking it (pain, anxiety, inflammation, etc...)
  • how you take it (orally, topically, sublingually, inhalation, etc...)
  • your pocketbook (CBD can be expensive)
  • age and weight

We usually recommend to start small - and increase your dosage until you find the right "fit" for your body. We recommend that you increase the dose every few days until you find that sweet spot. Keep in mind, some peoples bodies are more sensitive to CBD oil - and others claim it doesn't help them at all.
